Join the PPA for the July Professional Development Meeting "Achieving Balance: Work from Home/Work from Office" presented by Ellen Freedman.
Many assumed that when the pandemic ended, life would return to “normal” at both
home and work. The truth is, our normal is forever changed.
Lawyers and firms learned a lot during the pandemic. Technology advancements
which were long resisted became essential. And it wasn’t awful. For many,
significant improvements were had.
Workflow and delegation morphed to fit a new model. And it wasn’t awful except for
a few challenging aspects of certain practice areas. A lot of myths regarding
productivity, the necessity of being onsite, and delegation possibilities were dispelled.
Since workplaces reopened, firms have struggled with the issue of return to work.
Most lawyers and staff still want to work from home, and have been resistant to
returning to the office full time.
This session explores the tensions, the possibilities, all while focusing on best
practices to ensure the attorney and firm continue to meet all its ethical obligations
under Rules 1.1, 1.3, 1.4, 1.6 1.15, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3 and 5.5.
The link to join the webinar will be sent out closer to the presentation date.
As always, this event is free for all PPA members! Non-members can attend for a cost of $10.00.
