PPA has a membership level to fit everyone working in or supporting the paralegal profession.

STUDENT MEMBER     

Student Membership is open to any student currently enrolled in a Paralegal Education Program. Membership runs from January 1 to December 31.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER  

Associate Membership is open to any individual who is a FIRST-TIME MEMBER OF PPA and who meets the following criteria:

• is employed or retained as a paralegal and does not meet the criteria for Voting Membership; or
• was previously employed as a paralegal, but currently is unemployed, underemployed or retired; or
• is a member in good standing of an NFPA member association other than PPA; or
• is a graduate of a Paralegal Education Program and currently is unemployed or underemployed; or
• is a paralegal manager, coordinator, administrator or is employed in another similar position applying past experience and/or education as a paralegal in a current position and who does not also perform paralegal duties.

Membership runs from January 1 to December 31.

VOTING MEMBER    

Voting Membership is open to any individual currently employed as a paralegal for least six months and who meets the following criteria:

• holds a Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in paralegal studies; or
• holds a Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in any field and a paralegal certificate from a Paralegal Education Program; or
• has been employed as a paralegal for at least five years; AND
• has obtained six CLE credits through PPA, NFPA or a local, state or national bar association during the calendar year immediately preceding application for membership.

Membership runs from January 1 to December 31.

SUSTAINING MEMBER  

Sustaining (Corporate) Membership is open to an individual or entity not meeting the criteria for Voting, Associate or Student Membership and who or which is interested in being involved in and supporting the purposes of PPA.
